Simple Chicken Caesar Wrap

Okay friends, I have officially been obsessed with Chicken Caesar ANYTHING!

People always ask me, as a dietitian what I have been craving during pregnancy. And really, I feel like I have been pretty boring. My top two pregnancy cravings have been Chicken Caesar salads and Falafel! HA! When I was in New York everywhere I looked, I saw falafel and just decided I had to get it! I had some amazing salads at Sweet Green with falafel and when I got home I found some amazing falafel at Traders – typical! 🙂

Okay, on to the Chicken Caesar Wrap! When I was in Charleston recently working with one of the baseball teams I consult with, I was talking with one of the players about food… typical! We were discussing our love of Chicken Caesars. This player was telling me about how his mom ate Chicken Caesar Wraps all of the time during her pregnancy and now it is his favorite food. Naturally, this brought up two thoughts:

  1. Am I going to have a Chicken Caesar obsessed child?

The latter is clearly what I was more interested in thinking about at the time! Instead of going to a restaurant and getting it, I decided to wait and make one at home! Nutrition tip: It is almost ALWAYS a healthier option to cook at home. I also had a cooking demo coming up with Sprouts and thought this was a great opportunity to come up with a SUPER simple and healthy Chicken Caesar Wrap! Enter this beauty!

I made it a bit healthier by using a Caesar dressing that had a fairly decent ingredient list, and using less dressing by just tossing it with the chicken. I added tomatoes because it’s beautiful and adds some extra wow; sprinkled lightly with parmesan cheese and voila! I also used a Whole Wheat Lavish that has a short and sweet ingredient list compared to some wraps that can be loaded with extra empty calories.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I have… Whether you’re pregnant or not! 🙂

Simple Chicken Caesar Wrap

Serves: 4-6
This delicious Chicken Caesar Wrap is perfect for a busy day, whether you prefer it for lunch or dinner! Enjoy!
  • ½ Unseasoned Rotisserie Chicken, pulled and shredded
  • 1 package Organic Romaine Hearts
  • ½ Cup Organic Caesar Dressing
  • ½ package of Grape Tomatoes or whole tomato, sliced
  • 4 Whole Grain Lavish Flatbreads
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  1. In a medium bowl, toss shredded chicken and dressing until well combined. Set aside.
  2. To assemble wraps:
  3. Working with one flatbread at a time, place 2-4 large romaine leaves on each of the four flatbreads.
  4. Spread chicken Caesar mixture evenly between each flatbread, spreading it along the middle.
  5. Cut grape tomatoes in half or whole tomato and spread them evenly over the top of the chicken mixture.
  6. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over each flatbread.
  7. Roll each flat bread and place edge side down. Cut each flatbread in half and pierce each half with a tooth pick.
  8. Enjoy as a light dinner or an awesome lunch!
